LIFELINE (MAN SAFE) SYSTEMS

Lifeline (Man Safe) Systems

A well-designed linear system provides Fall Restraint and Fall Arrest protection for multiple users, allowing free movement around a work area at height.  Operatives connect to the fixed cable using a harness, lanyard, and traveller.  The lanyard may be adjusted to prevent access to Fall Hazard Areas, thus eliminating the possibility of a fall from height (Fall Restraint).

When a fall does occur, the lifeline system deploys shock absorbers to minimise injury to the user, and to prevent a potentially fatal fall to the ground (Fall Arrest).

In addition to the installation and testing of Lifeline Systems, our Height Sure technicians use cable-based access frequently in their day-to-day working lives.  This grants valuable experience when considering the optimum design to permit the widest range of access whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety.

Height Sure’s engineers will assess the most appropriate design for your roof type, user requirements and budget, whether by site visit or desktop survey.  All materials and fixing methods are selected to conform to EN BS 795:2012 standards.  We also ensure that all supporting documentation is supplied to conform with BS 7883:2019.
